Welcome Letter from Mrs Winterburn Dear Parents/Guardians Welcome back to a new term at Roundhay St John's. I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you all and to say thank you for the many welcoming and good luck wishes I received. It was lovely to see all the children arriving for school last Friday, all smart and eager, and to meet some of you too. I sincerely hope I will get to know you all well over the coming weeks and months. I am happy to see parents about matters large and small and will always try to see you on the day of your request, however when this is not possible, an early and mutually convenient appointment will be made. As you can imagine I am still finding my feet in a new school, but I could not wish for a more welcoming and supportive staff team who are working hard to help me settle in. I am really looking forward to working with the children, staff, parents and governors to continue building on the successes of the school and to lead us all through the many challenges we will be facing in 2005 and beyond. I will be writing to you again shortly with details of forthcoming events and other school details but I thought it was important to let you know dates for Training Days as early as possible. In addition to the day we have already had, four Training Days have been allocated as follows: 03.10.05 (Monday) Also just a quick reminder of the recent increase to school dinner costs: per day per week
